Puppies n' Pinatas~

Emily had to make something for her Spanish class that represents something they do in the Spanish culture, so she decided to make a Pinata.  I thought it turned out really good!  Seems everything she does she excels at.  Must be nice.  ha-ha

I also took a few more pics of the dogs, Juno and Gabe as I don't have too many of Gabe!  He is hard to photograph cuz he moves an awful lot, but they turned out OK I think.

Both have bones....

But Gabe's looks better!

How can I sneak in there and steal it?

Think I'll try to look innocent...

And....it didn't work!  Gabe wins!

The final product...I see an "A" in her future!

Baby, its cold outside!

Governor Dayton actually closed schools this upcoming Monday as the wind chill along with the frigid temps is just going to be too dangerous for the young and old alike.  The kids aren't complaining that their Christmas break was extended by another day!  They had some fun playing outside today at my sister's, which is good because I think we'll be holed up for the next several days!

My lense was fogged up!

Doggy Play Date

Last weekend I took Juno to my parents house, and me and my mom's friend, Katie went there with her rescue dog, Ella.  Ella and Rico got along pretty good with a few tense moments, but all in all I think they had a fun time.  Juno isn't sure enough to be around such a dominant dog, so we waited until Rico got Ella all worn out before letting Juno play with her, and it worked like a charm!  They all slept good that night. The pics are a little blurry as I took them through a window...LOL

Even the kids and adults had fun!

Our nephew, Lionel III

Our nephew, Lionel III is in the USMC.  He is stationed out right now, and none of us have seen him for quite some time.

Below is a cool picture of him, and also the picture that is being sent to him to let him know he wasn't forgotten by us at Christmas time.  He loves being in the Marine Corp, and is very good at what he does.

God Bless Lionel, and all our service men and women!

Christmas with the dogs

I got some pictures of Mr. Luke, Rico, and Juno.  They, too, had a nice Christmas I think.  They got lots of ham, some desserts, whipping cream, bacon strips, and play time outside.  I don't know what the new year will bring for Luke, but I hope he gets to enjoy 2014.  His spinal disease appears to be progressing some, its harder for him to get his back legs going, but he isn't in pain, and he seems to really truly enjoy his life.  Why wouldn't he?  My dad spoils him, and loves him so much.  The feeling is mutual with Luke towards my Dad.  They have a really special relationship, my dad often referring to Luke as his best friend.

What a beautiful group of Shepherds!  They get along well, as long as Juno doesn't get "too close" to Gary.  Then Luke gets jealous, ha-ha...
