Our nephew, Lionel III

Our nephew, Lionel III is in the USMC.  He is stationed out right now, and none of us have seen him for quite some time.

Below is a cool picture of him, and also the picture that is being sent to him to let him know he wasn't forgotten by us at Christmas time.  He loves being in the Marine Corp, and is very good at what he does.

God Bless Lionel, and all our service men and women!

Christmas with the dogs

I got some pictures of Mr. Luke, Rico, and Juno.  They, too, had a nice Christmas I think.  They got lots of ham, some desserts, whipping cream, bacon strips, and play time outside.  I don't know what the new year will bring for Luke, but I hope he gets to enjoy 2014.  His spinal disease appears to be progressing some, its harder for him to get his back legs going, but he isn't in pain, and he seems to really truly enjoy his life.  Why wouldn't he?  My dad spoils him, and loves him so much.  The feeling is mutual with Luke towards my Dad.  They have a really special relationship, my dad often referring to Luke as his best friend.

What a beautiful group of Shepherds!  They get along well, as long as Juno doesn't get "too close" to Gary.  Then Luke gets jealous, ha-ha...

Christmas at my parent's 2013

Well, another year has almost come and gone.  Hard to believe it is almost 2014.  We went to my parents house for Christmas and I got to spend it with my Mother In Law, Sandy too as she joined us this year.  It was fun having all of us together.  My mom has mastered Grandma Lillie's Ham Gravy, and if you've tried it, you know what I'm talking about.  In my opinion, it is the BEST gravy I have EVER had.  Seriously, its that good.  We had Ham, potatoes, pull apart bread, corn, green bean casserole, pistachio salad, a black bean raspberry chipotle dip, candy, cookies, pies, tons of food!  We played the dice game, and just sat around feeling full and content.
Merry Christmas to you who read this, and may our upcoming year be full of positive change and blessings.
