Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! (but really.....are we almost done yet?!)

What a Winter it has been.
Sure the trees are beautiful.
The Snowy Owl was fun to watch.  For a while.
The dogs romping around, playing, rolling, getting wet...and stinky...
The Hens blinded by the snow, so you have to dig the 10" of snow from the front of the coop to get inside, toss it all around so its not white so they come out...
One of our Hens is brooding, and refuses to get off the eggs that will never hatch, and the other Hens are pecking her head raw.  :(
6 snow days for the kids this year....6 extra days of whining, crying, fighting, driving mom crazy.....
Yep.  Such a Winter.
Now c'mon Spring...I need you!!!!

A Day with Isaac~

Today I had the pleasure of watching our nephew and his wife's baby Isaac.  He is 7 months old, and he is the cutest, sweetest little guy I've had the pleasure of spending time with in a long time.  He is very busy, and only slept for a half hour two times while I was there.
I enjoyed my time with him so much.  I think now that my own kids are older, I can really relish moments like today.  I am grateful Tyler and Mary trust me enough to spend time with their lil' man, and I get to do it all again on Wednesday!  :)  Below is the little cutie! Oh, and its pretty neat because his mamma is from Columbia, he will be bilingual, as she speaks to him in Spanish 90% of the time...

mamma and baby Lily

James and Lily

Playing with his goats

Little Lily

He lost his first tooth!!
My nephew James turned 6 on January 30th!  Hard to believe how quickly time flies by.  He is in Kindergarten, and is excelling.  He tested out on top of his class, no surprise there.  We will be celebrating his Birthday soon, so I will post pics once we do.  In the meantime, he lost his very first tooth, and you can see how excited he is about that!  :)  He also has a new baby goat that he named Lily.  Sami and James have the mamma, too.  Sami is a great mom to James, and gives him experiences that many of aren't able to do with our kids.  She is a hard worker, a dedicated mom, and I am grateful to have her in my life, and to know she is going to raise James to be one fine young man.
