On Saturday Me, Jon, Emily, Caleb, and Koriah met up with my Mother in Law for the Anoka Halloween Parade. It was a nice time, the kids had a lot of fun. The thing I like most about it is the people watching. I LOVE to people watch, and believe me there are plenty of different walks to look at there...Anyway, enjoy some pics, which I'm sure will take several different posts to post since they changed it on me...
IT WORKED!!! IT WORKED!!! IT REALLY REALLY WORKED!! I didn't have to make 3 different posts for all my pics!!! :O)

pumpkin carving con't...
I don't like this new picture limit thing....don't know how one can change that though...so here are the rest of the pics...
Pumpkin Carving~
Me, Emily and Caleb went down to a small Pumpkin Patch last night and they each picked out a pumpkin. Jon doesn't "get into that" anymore, so it was just the 3 of us. We got home and the kids got busy. I was pretty proud of how well the pumpkins turned out. They each did one themselves, and the booklet of designs said 'for 12 or older'.....LOL

You tell me! Did Caleb's team win the playoffs??
He played good, and he played hard. I am proud of you Caleb, whether your team came in 1st place or your team came in last. You play good, you gave it your all and that's all that matters.
And how many kids can say they suffered a penalty at the hands of another player severe enough to get him out of the game for the rest of the season, AND lose a screw from your helmet due to the impact?! :O)

Pumpkin Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting~
I promised Emily we would make cupcakes while Troy was gone hunting. Well, Troy is gone hunting, so it was time to make them! We went to Brainerd yesterday and visited with Sami and James for a couple of hours. Got to meet her horses Cricket, and Jelly Bean. And her new kitty, Orion. So today we washed our bedding at the laundromat, came home, turned on the football game for Caleb and got busy. These are Emily's creations, and she is very proud of them! It was the first time we ever made cupcakes together...LOL how sad is that? But we have now, and that is what matters.

Emily and Koriah's newest fort~
Again the girls spent over 2 hours building this fort. I love love love that they are still "little girls". I relish this time, as I know it won't be much longer before Emily no longer needs the "Kissing Hand" before school, or our good night saying, or building forts with her friends...
*sigh*
*sigh*
A quote worth repeating:
A gal I met through emailing at work posted this on her face book the other day, and I must say its worth copying down in my blog too:
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
-Mother Theresa

As you can see...I took lots and lots o' pictures!!
We had so much stinkin fun at the apple orchard. We spent the entire day there, and ended it by picking our own apples off the trees. Pretty amazing that you can pick something right off a tree and just eat it. Just one more amazing thing from our Heavenly Father!!

Grandma Lillie's funeral~
What a beautiful funeral it was. Grandma looked so peaceful. She looked beautiful. She looked better in her passing then she did those last few weeks of her life. My singing went off without a hitch...or so I'm told. I sang both songs, Amazing Grace and It Is Well With My Soul to Danny playing on a CD for my background music. I got to see a lot of relatives I haven't seen in years.
I am grateful that grandma was a woman who loved and served the Lord. I am grateful that she brought her children up in a way where they, too, know the Lord and have passed that along to their children, who pass it along to theirs...
Grandma is whole once more, and she is where she had been longing to go for a long time.
Thank you, Lord, for taking grandma's hand, and leading her home.
