Easter 2014

He has risen!
He has risen indeed!

We went to my parents house for Easter.  Jon and Kaitlyn hid the eggs so the younger kids could find them.  The dogs had fun, but Juno ate too much and was sick the next 2 days..
The food was excellent, as my mom made Grandma Lillie's famous ham gravy, and my sister made her famous chocolate cake!  Everything else was yummy too!

We didn't color eggs this year, nor did we do a lot of baking like last year.  But that's OK.  Its not about the food anyway.

Jesus conquered death.  And because He conquered death, we are given HOPE and if we BELIEVE, we WILL have everlasting life with our Heavenly Father.  What a precious gift.

Snowstorms and Baseball all in one month!

Wowza, what a month April has been!

We got about 10" of snow in one day, although it melted quickly, it was still pretty amazing.
Caleb's baseball is off and running full speed ahead, games coming quickly!!
It will be fun to see how his traveling team does.  He is excited.  I think spring may be here for real this time, although its chilly and rainy.  They do say April showers bring May flowers, so there ya go.  :)
Oh, and Emily got new glasses....sooo cute.  Not sure if I put that pic on already or not, but right now I am too lazy to look, so if I did, oh well.  Enjoy it again.  Ha ha.
Couldn't get close enough, but all those spots are ROBINS,we had a TON of them in our yard

See the dotting the tree?  Sure sign of Spring!!

Is she a dork or what?

Caleb turned 11 on April 9th!

Happy Birthday, Caleb!

My youngest child is now 11 years old.  Wow.
Long ago were the days of changing diapers, giving baths, breathing in the sweet smell of a baby.  Picking out outfits, holding hands, packing diaper bags, baby giggles.

My days are different now, and have been for a while.  But they are still filled with laughter, some fighting, lots of questions, and me watching in awe as they grow so fast.

We celebrated a few different times this year, so he had his fill of eating out and got some nice gifts.
I love watching you grow, mature, and slowly turn into the person you are meant to be.  Right now you want to be a Police Officer, and that is something I can totally see you doing.  I am proud of you and Love you very much!!

Thank you, Thank you very much....

Caleb had to do the wax museum in school last week, and the person he decided to do was Elvis.  I bought him a costume, and we worked on his board together.  He wrote literally at least a hundred note cards, and had to write a report on Elvis, and give a speech.  It was a lot of fun going there and watching him.  He did a GREAT job, and earned himself an A!!  I am so proud of him!
He starts baseball here really soon, too.  He will be on a traveling team this year, so this should be interesting....
