Whew!!! Such hard work....

Munchkin
Well, the play Emily is in, Wizard of Oz opens up Friday, April 27th.  It amazes me at the hard work and dedication it takes for the parents...but especially the kids involved to make this happen.  We are at practice 5 nights a week from 6 to past 10....her attitude has amazed me.  She has complained very little.  I am so proud of her, because I know she must be tired.  I am excited to see how the hard work pays off Friday night!!  Here are a few pics I snapped of her in her makeup...of course she likes it!  But only for the play!  God made Emily beautiful...she doesn't need make up in every day life.  :)

Time with Caleb~

I guess I need to use all my time wisely, since it seems I can barely breathe lately.  I am busy with Emily almost 5 days a week in the evenings due to play practice, and of course I work during the day while the kids are at school.  I am grateful I get to work right from home.  Starting next week, I will be working another job from home as well doing scheduling for an irrigation business.  So if I think I'm busy now....look out!
During Emily's voice lessons today, Caleb and I found this small park with a pathway down to this little body of water.  There were several people canoeing, and their were some ducks, and it was just beautiful with the sunshine and breeze.  Caleb even chased a lilac colored moth for a while, skipped some rocks.  It was only for a 1/2 hour, but it was quality time, and that counts for something.

Wax Museum~

This....just because...is this my daughter in a few years??  HELP!!
Emily's 5th grade class has been preparing for this project since December of last year.  They each had to do a research paper on a famous person, drawn from a hat.  They had to put together a board with specific information about said person, do a research paper on the person, give a speech, and now they had to dress the character like they were in a wax museum, and when you pushed their "button" they would give some tid bits of info about who they are.  She randomly chose Emily Dickinson, which is ironic, since she loves writing so much.  She did a great job, and so did all the other kids in 5th grade.  It was fun to go watch!

Michael and Jon~

Just a couple of pictures of my two oldest.  Michael will be 20 in June, Jon will be 16 in August.  I am starting feel old!!  Its so strange watching your children grow and turn into men.  Michael and Jon have a special bond, and I hope that it continues long into adulthood.  They have each other, and that is enough.

Happy 9th, Golden Birthday to My Lubber!!

On April 9th, 2012 my youngest, my baby turned 9 years old.  I remember when I started labor with him.  I was several days overdue and when he decided to make his entrance, he did so quickly, with gusto and he has lived his life that way since.  I labored and delivered in a very small amount of time with Caleb.  He didn't give me time for any pain meds to kick in!
I can't believe my youngest child is already 9.  He is no longer a baby, no longer a toddler, or even a preschooler...wow....even the little dimples in his knuckles are gone. :O(

Caleb is tenderhearted, sweet, (and sour at times) He is head strong, determined, loves football, baseball, and hunting.  He has an obsession with mechanical pencils, and with how his shoes fit.  His heart breaks when he gets into trouble, he cries, sings, laughs with every fiber of his being.  He is a special little boy, and I am blessed to have him.  I love you very much, Caleb.  You are a unique gift from God and I am so happy to be your mom.
